Yesterday we drove form our city to the capital of the country.  We left our city at 3:30 AM and arrived in the capital after a hair-raising ride!  I want type out full details so as not to alarm anyone, but I will say: Camel caravan and stubborn donkeys slowed things down a bit!  After arriving in the capital, we had a delicious lunch of homemade pizza, then a nap (sort of – EB doesn’t nap well in the same room with us) and then off to see some great old friends that we haven’t seen in years! Â
Now we are chilling at a guest house (sort of hotel type place) until Saturday when we leave for Dubai!!  In Dubai we will have doctor’s appointments, do some shopping, eat at some great restaurants (Chilli’s!!!)  and hang out with some teammates.  On August 9th we fly out to Indonesia for much MUCH needed rest and relaxation! Â
I wrote the previous post almost a week ago and never posted – we have been in Dubai for six days and it has been wonderful! Â I did get a pretty horrible haircut, but it will grow out eventually. Â We leave Sunday for Indonesia, which is also DB’s birthday! Â Pictures soon…
