Good Times in SC
We are finishing up our time with my family in South Carolina and it has really been great!  Our two weeks have been packed with seeing family and friends and even though we haven’t spent as MUCH time as we like with everyone, or even seen everyone I had hoped, it has been a whirlwind of good times!  Starting tomorrow, the three of us are going to disappear for a week - we will check voicemail occasionally, but probably not email at all - we are going to relax, play with EB, and READ READ READ as we enjoy the beautiful fall weather in the mountains.  To everyone we have hung out with - it was so great to spend time with you all - thanks for the fun, prayers, hugs, and history of being good friends that we cherish.  I have been blessed with amazing, lifelong friends and it has been great to share DB and EB with you all these last few weeks.  Thanks for the part each of you have in my life  - for investing in me through the years and continuing to  be there for me no matter where I have lived and how long it is between seeing you.  Will update again in about a week!

I promise, this will not be a boring, drawn out step by step description of every aspect of pictures in slide shows. Â We have all been to a service where someone shows 200 hundred pictures and says things like, “this is the first hill we drove over…this is the second hill…the is the way the sun rose over the hill on the first day…” Â We might show a few pictures, but we will not drone on and on - we will be short and to the point. Â We will talk about where we are going, what we are doing, and even answer questions you have. Â Let me go ahead and answer the biggest one you might have…YES, we ARE taking the baby! Â Everyone is invited - we would love to see you there - come learn how you can pray for our family and the Tajik people!

1 commentEB learning to crawl
EB is definitely mobile.  She is rolling and scooting and sitting up and crawling backwards, but she has not yet mastered the forward crawl.  The picture above is her favorite and most frequent attempt at crawling.  She positions herself in this cat-like pose and then propels herself forward and bellyflops (or face plants) onto the floor.  She is VERY proud of herself for her accomplishment and seems to think this will eventually result in crawling, but as of yet, no such luck.  I thought two weeks ago when this started that she was days away from crawling, but now….I think the electrical sockets are safe for a while still
